Discription : Steinberg releases updated version of its immersive mixing and sound design workstation software
The update is said to feature Adaptive Background Attenuation (ABA), which automatically analyzes the dialogue audio signal and reduces loud background sounds to a user-defined limit. It also boasts an AI-powered speech-to-text function that transcribes dialogue audio tracks into ADR cycle markers. The update also reportedly brings automatic detection of audio segments, recognizing their relationship with each other. Segments can be selected using the Range tool and their volume adjusted using the new Event Volume Curves feature.
In turn, the DAW now supports fourth-order Ambisonics channels, and the built-in Dolby Atmos Renderer now works with Stereo Direct, 7.1.2, 9.1.4 and 9.1.6 formats. In addition, manual adjustment of Stereo Direct and 5.1.4 project trim settings is now possible from the Dolby Atmos ADM Trim and Downmix Editor. Among other new features: a number of effect plug-ins, including Shimmer, Underwater, StudioDelay and AutoFilter, as well as new modulators, an updated video engine, import of CSV files without timecode, improved sound effects previews and much more.
