False Virus Alerts
⚠️ Understanding False Virus Alerts
Due to an increasing number of false virus alerts, we want to clarify what is expected and what might be a real concern.
🟢 Not a Real Virus
These detections are common and do not indicate a real threat:
Detection Type | Example | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Crack / HackTool | HackTool.Crack | Used in patched software, flagged by behavior |
Heuristic / Generic | Heur.Trojan.Generic | Broad guesses based on behavior patterns |
Microsoft Defender | Win32:Crack | Focuses more on piracy than real malware |
💬 No complaint is needed for these. They are harmless in context.
