Description

Novatron is an analog-modeled compressor that borrows so many sonic properties from so many different classing hardware units that, ironically, it could only exist in the world of DSP. With separate in/out Transformer Saturation, two optional Tone Circuits, and a monstrous compressor with groundbreaking attack and release characteristics, the Novatron produces the same three-dimensional ‘solidity’ and tone typically reserved for expensive hardware.

Goldplate combines Relab’s silky-smooth reverb tails with Kush’s gentle harmonic shapes and thick compression curves, resulting in all the basic comforts of a typical reverb, but with an interface that goes far beyond what you’d expect from traditional reverb controls. After 9 years in the plugin game, Kush can finally say without exaggeration that, at least for one particular type of vintage compressors that lock in beautifully, we’ve completely closed the analog/digital divide. SILIKA is not “close,” it’s not “different but just as good.” It’s “Sonically Identical” to the types of hardware after which it’s modeled.

The AR-1 is a variable mu tube compressor whose roots are in the raucous sound of American 1950s rockers, yet it enjoys a tasteful, tasteful British image thanks to its use at Abbey Road Studios in the late 1960s, particularly on later Beatles and earlier Pink Floyd records. Kush painstakingly captured the sweet breakup of the AR-1’s beefy tubes digging into the earth, then added more than half a dozen significant functional and UI enhancements. The resulting emulation is as thick as the original and 10 times more flexible.
